Forum Articleback Angela Merkel - beset by Mars Saturn and Pluto Midheaven Solar Arcs
Author: Marjorie. Date: 01 Jul 2010
Angela Merkel is certainly facing crisis time in her political life. Born 17 July 1954 5.45pm Hamburg, Germany. She has an extraordinary chart. Her Sun, Uranus, Jupiter, Mercury all in Cancer are deeply buried in her 8th house so she's emotional, self protective and exceedingly private as well as intensely stubborn. Her Sun Uranus are in a highly strung square to a visionary, helpful though vague Neptune in the 10th. She's also got utterly determined, obsessively conscientious Saturn in Scorpio in the late 10th so is suited to an executive role. Her 1st house Mars in Sagittarius is trine an opinionated 9th house Pluto. She is ambitious, ruthless, has grit and perseverance though is also, I imagine, rather too Neptunian at times for comfort - prone to misjudgements. Her Solar Arcs (treat them like Progressions) are absolutely spot on. Her Solar Arc Saturn is conjunct her natal Mars to within one minute (a sixtieth of a degree) at the moment - which is an aggravating road block - as her choice for President had to go the an embarrassing and damaging third round vote. Plus her Solar Arc Pluto is within 3 minutes of being conjunct her Midheaven and they don't get more exact than that. Pluto on the MC tends to indicate loss of reputation and control. Tr Pluto is in a really dreary sextile to her Saturn from Aug to mid Oct this year. Plus tr Saturn is aiming to square her 8th house Mercury Jupiter in Oct/Nov which will be a downer with the highly insecure, very jangled tr Uranus square her Mars thro' Nov and Dec. September also shows up as a very unstable time in her 2nd Term chart - so she's a long way to go to get back to her earlier popularity if she ever can which is doubtful with her Solar Arc Mars heading to oppose her Pluto in two years time which is absolute dead stop. By this autumn Germany will be seriously re-thinking its links to the EU and the euro. hide Marjorie's posts
