From: Melanie(04 Jul 2010 14:34):  to the lovely Maggy...THANK YOU :)
From: Maggy van Krimpen(03 Jul 2010 11:16):  Melanie, in answer to your question (if I may). The Moon is in your 12th, the hidden side of the ascendant at a distance of 8 degrees from your ascendant. Because of the immense "weight"of the Moon and Asc in every chart (the Sun too) you could consider these to be conjunct. Some astrologers use orbs of up to 15 deg (esp for these planets/angles mentioned)....in fact, your ascendant is almost exactly at the midpoint (halfway) of Moon and Saturn - so this aspect will be a strong fundamental of your character. The Moon here is stronger as it is applying (that means by progression it is moving towards and will conjunct your asc) whereas Saturn is "separating"i.e. is moving away from the ascendant, and further away by progression.

I use orbs of 6 degrees unless there are few close aspects - you do get some charts with wide aspects only and if that's the case you of course must use a greater orb.
From: Melanie(02 Jul 2010 05:25):  Hello Marjorie and the gang :)- "simon" (below) talks about being born with Saturn conjunct his Ascendant and almost exactly conjuct his natal Sun, which means it is a planet he lives with everyday of his life.
I know this is not a forum for personal astrology analysis - but with that said may i quickly ask if having a moon (7 degrees leo)and an ascendant (15 degrees leo) means that my saturn at 24 degrees leo is "conjunct" or is the orb considered too wide?
From: simon(02 Jul 2010 00:45):  Well I was born with Saturn conjunct my Ascendant and almost exactly conjuct my natal Sun so it is a planet I live with every day of my life. My personal view is that it is like a stern but not uncaring school teacher that will pull you up short if you get out of line. It expects discipline and hard work but will reward effort. Its down side is that it can make you introspective and excessively self critical which can lead to feelings of depression and lack of self worth. It is a planet that forces you to recognise your limitations but it also enables you to make the best of them. The secret is to try to do your best and then to have the wisdom to recognise that you could do no more. It is actually one of the planet's in my chart that I 'listen' to most of all.
From: LarryC(02 Jul 2010 00:39):  Very interesting...as my Saturn is leaving the 2nd and moving into the 3rd, I'm enjoying the excitement of planning a life on another continent. For an absolute wonder, everything I have set out to achieve towards accomplishing that goal is coming to fruition. The tree contnues to grow and fruit blossoms are beginning to appear.

Apologies for the metaphors ;-)
From: christine (01 Jul 2010 22:24):  Saturn is going to cross my ascendant for the 2nd time in my life within the next year. I was bitterly depressed the first time so I have been getting ready to be despondent, so thank you Marjorie for your description of the qualities of this transit. I don't have to watch it's approach with such dread.
