Netanyahu v Obama - different tactics

Barack Obama will have another go tomorrow at trying to persuade Benjamin Netanyahu to halt settlement building in an effort to progress the pre-pre-pre-Peace Talks with the Palestinians.
Relations between the two countries have sunk to a new low in recent times though Israel in typically bull-necked fashion is refusing to budge.
This time round Netanyahu has been invited to stay in the inner sanctum in the White House so no doubt there's an attempt to see if charm plus force works better than just putting the Presidential foot down which has clearly not registered.
The Obama/Netanyahu relationship chart has an argumentative Mercury Mars conjunction which has been stressed earlier this year and will be again over the coming New Year and through 11/12. But all that's showing at present are transits to the composite midpoints which indicate huge frustration (tr Pluto trine Mars/Pluto) and confusion, disappointment and plans not working out (tr Pluto square Mars/Neptune).
On the USA/Israel relationship chart there is emotional intensity and a good deal of pushing and pulling with tr Pluto opp the composite Venus now and again in Oct/Nov and tr Pluto opposing Mercury Aug to Oct which will lead to major arguments with both sides standing firm. There could be a real low through Aug 2010 as tr Saturn is conjunct the composite Jupiter Neptune and then squares Mercury Venus - so a wider gap and less friendly mood. Where the US/Isr relationship chart gets really strung out is in 2011 as tr Uranus opposes that over-idealised Jupiter Neptune and squares Mercury Venus. So the pressure will be kept up.
The Israel country chart is emotionally fairly intense and anguished with tr Pluto conjunct the Solar Arc Moon this month into July and on and off through later this year and 2011; as well as tr Pluto opposition Venus which has much the same effect - and will give Israel serious worries about its fading popularity (Venus). And tr Neptune returns to oppose their Mars thro' 2011, continuing the sinking, panicky mood of this year.
