Squawks are emerging from the hen house again as Peter Mandelson (Prince of Darkness) has brought out his Memoirs ahead of schedule beating his old buddy Tony Blair to the starting post. Blair's spokesman said sniffily that the TB memoirs due in a month will be 'statesmanlike' - i.e. stuffy and tedious. The Mandelson chronicles are more likely to be entertaining and bitchy, laying bare the in fighting in New Labour's time in office.
The Mandelson Blair relationship was never as cosy as it looked on the surface with an explosive Mars Uranus conjunction square Saturn Neptune in the composite/relationship chart. Saturn square Uranus suggests simmering tensions that suddenly boil over. Saturn square Mars is unkind treatment and impatience. Uranus square Neptune is highly strung. Mars square Neptune is one-wins-the-other-loses. Hardly mutually supportive despite their long friendship, though ruptured as it was by Mandelson's two fast exits from Cabinet over perceived misdemeanours.
Both ends of that difficult composite square are being elbowed this year with a potentially explosive, insecure tr Uranus trine Mars returning in Sept and early 11. Tr Neptune is also in an undermining, suspicion-ridden trine to Saturn in Sept/Oct (again in late Nov/Jan 11). So September could be a sticky month between them with a real chill in Oct as tr Saturn squares the composite Venus.
Blair himself has a few more spots of good fortune with tr Uranus trine his Jupiter from mid Aug to mid Sept which will bring lucky breaks - and again in early 2011. But by early 2011 tr Neptune starts to square his Jupiter for two years which will bring disappointments, especially financial ones. And then tr Neptune by 2012 is square his Mars Ascendant for two years which is distinctly slippery slope time. Not confident or winning.
Mandelson is in an emotionally intense year with the tr Pluto square tr Saturn hitting his Venus in Libra till later this year; and a lack lustre tr Neptune trine his Libra Sun. But he's also got an enthusiastic, good luck tr Uranus square Jupiter in Nov/Dec 2010 to boost his morale. Into 2011/12 he's got a mix of tr Neptune trine his Saturn which is uncertain but it is more than balanced out by a Solar Arc Jupiter conjunct his Pluto which should bring soaring confidence and probably money.
