Forum Articleback Civil Wars - more Uranus than Pluto
Author: Marjorie. Date: 16 Jul 2010
I'm not sure why the approaching Pluto opposition to the USA Sun should bring up thought of a Civil War. The previous Pluto conjunction to the USA Sun was in the mid 1920s when the USA pursued a policy of unilateralism and isolationism from the rest of the globe. The two Pluto squares to the USA Sun were in the 1830s during the Trail of Tears when Native American Indians were relocated; and in the late 1970s when Jimmy Carter became a limp President in a time of economic stagnation and inflation. The American Civil War happened on the Uranus Return (Uranus conj Uranus) with Pluto approaching a sextile to the USA Sun; and Neptune approaching a square to the USA Venus, Jupiter, Sun. Looking at other countries' civil wars. The Spanish Civil War (1936) started on a Uranus square to the 1479 Spain Sun with Neptune conjunct Saturn and opposition Mars. The English Civil War (1642) on the England 973 chart had a Uranus Return; Neptune just passed the opposition to the Sun and Uranus approaching the opposition to the Sun. Pluto was 11 degrees passed the conjunction to the Sun and conjunct the Moon? On the England 1066 chart Uranus was sextile the Sun. The 1917 Russian Revolution did have Pluto square the 1462 Russia Sun; with Uranus opposition Pluto, sextile Mars; and Neptune Saturn trine Sun Mars. Uranus seems more intimately tied into Civil Wars with a dollop of Neptunian confusion thrown in as well. The Pluto hard aspects to the USA Sun do seem to coincide with less than glorious periods in its history but not with any sign of splitting asunder. hide Marjorie's posts
