Hmm, you got my curiosity aroused there Marjorie....been lookingfor an hour or so at charts sch as \ngaio Marsh (a famous NZ crime writer) - had to laugh though, nobody is sure of her birthday given mostly as 23.4.1895, yet her father it insisted it was 1899! In either year Mercury would rise in front of the Sun interestingly (the old Sakoian & Acker theory about vocational indicator). Next one I looked at was Frances Fyfield whose birth is given as only "1948" in all links - thus, another mystery, like Ngaio Marsh she is unmarried, reclusive (publicly I mean) etc. Maybe the Saturn Pluto conj of that year is strong here as it is in Stephen King's chart - he has Sun, Ven,Neptune,Mercury, a bit of a areflection of PD James' Merc, Sun, Nep, Venus. Raymond Chandler has a tough chart, his Merc opp Saturn (common in writers, I think Fay Weldon whose books would equate to dometic crime!) has this one too, and they all square Mars in Scorpio square Saturn Leo & Jup/Pluto .....Patricia Cornwell is a Sun Moon Gemini, in fact Gemini and Virgo seem very common indicators of writers (anyone we know Marjorie!!! how many books have you written now?) P Cornwell had no earth, a couple of them were fairly low fire, but air always well represented - perhaps PD James has an air ascendant, though she has an inscurtable look about her, I'd fancy you can see Neptune (she's there, but not really) not closed enough for Pluto rising.....Agath Christie disappeared famously but many of these women have mysteries permeating their lives - I do think a father must have aa big problem somewhere with a 4 year gap (possibly) between his daughter's birth and his memory of it......

Interesting post, Marjorie. I write 'cosy' crime novels, third out next year, and I'm a sun Capricorn, moon Cancer, and Libra ascending. As a fairly blameless individual, I reckon I'm getting rid of aggressions I didn't know I had, when I kill off my characters! www.nicolaslade.com
