Your birthday Sun will put you on top form since it always makes you look ahead optimistically. You'll be making resolutions about creating a different year ahead to the one you've just had. Jupiter in Aries is filling your head full of grand plans to expand your life and add adventure to your agenda. OK so not all your ideas will be entirely feasible so will need trimmed back. But you'll be dreaming wonderful dreams. Just don't go into overdrive around the 3rd and 4th since you could land yourself in hot water. You'll be fast moving and outspoken but could in the heat of the moment be too impulsive and then you'll have to back track. After the 7th you'll manage to be tactful as well as honest and that may calm down the mood marginally. You'll have pleasant encounters and be putting yourself across harmoniously as well as enthusiastically. From mid month with Uranus reversing into Pisces you'll be sorting out a few joint financial matters which have gone off track. Perhaps you'll also be asking yourself what you really want emotionally. Push on through the 21st even if close partners are not quite on your wavelength. In the final days you'll get one cash matter firmly under your thumb. Try to save not spend.

Year-Ahead Outlook

Overview 

There'll be some real plus points and a few challenges for you in 2010. On the upside you'll find generosity and good luck come your way to make you feel more secure financially and emotionally. You'll also have the chance to raise your sights and broaden your horizons. But you'll also at times feel rather cut off in your everyday comings and goings, not always understood or listened to respectfully enough. You'll need to be persevering and practical when it comes to work and to health matters. Be sensible and double check everything. Don't assume your view will always be the right one. The Capricorn Eclipse covering the first six months hints that stepping back to mull over the past may be helpful.

Romance 

The good news is that Jupiter moving into Pisces to stay all year apart from the middle three months will lower your defences, bring you closer to those you really want to be intimate with and forge deeper bonds. You'll make the transition from the past to the future more easily than you could have imagined. OK so certain close partners will continue to be vague, muddle headed or downright evasive at times. If you can forge a spiritual connection then you will find a better connection and commitment. From mid year you'll slowly emerge from what has been an unpredictable time in your life emotionally when you had difficulty sticking to what you really wanted. In the earlier part of the year you may be slightly inward looking but later on especially after September you'll be happier at home, snuggling up contentedly with those close. You'll be partying in style through October and November.

Money 

Less stressed about your personal finances with Saturn moving out of Virgo you'll be pleased as the year begins. Money will come in with less effort than you might imagine either through joint finances, partner's generosity or from inheritances, wins, bonuses. With effort you'll turn your good fortune into even more solid rewards. February and March will be high point months with rewards flowing your way. There may be a few months from April to July when you'll need to tie up loose ends and be sensible again. But it won't be a disaster, just a time for slight caution. June and July will see you making one step forwards and one step backwards so you'll really need to be persistent. From mid August there'll be a few ups and downs in money you share responsibility for with others. Just stay cool, be flexible. December will bring a definite lucky break.

Work 

To get the best out of your work situation you'll need to be strategic, persuasive and persistent. Not everyone will take kindly to your ideas and suggestions so you may feel cold shouldered at times. What is crucial is that you don't let it put you off. See if you can find a better way of framing your thoughts. It may be more to do with style and presentation than with the content of what you are trying to get across. You'll undoubtedly have strong opinions about how to change your situation for the better but this may run you into opposition from those who want life to stay the same as it was. Just don't get yourself argued into a corner where everyone digs in their heels. Lighten up, listen to feedback and then choose your words carefully. You'll find that you get a firmer grip come April and feel you've learned a few lessons about what to do and what not to do. May will be a successful month with luck breaks making your task easier.

Health 

Since you'll be putting out a fair amount of energy you'll need to do everything possible to boost your stamina. Pluto now in Capricorn says that upgrading and regenerating your general health will be possible but you must make the effort to see you are doing the right things. Have a check over, listen to advice and follow through on your fitness and diet regimes. There's nothing to be gained by burying your head in the sand and ignoring it all. Luckily you'll be going ahead with some vitality till mid year. June will be your time into July to take it easier and give yourself a real break. December will be your next key time to get a grip and stop slacking. This is when you can make a real difference.
