You'll be cutting away from activities which no longer hold your interest, perhaps even cutting away from old friendships which have past their sell by date. You won't lose anything or anyone you need for the future. You'll have to keep a grip of your extravagances and indulgences since you'll be inclined to spend liberally rather than be sensible. Beautiful, luxury temptations will catch your eye. Maybe you will be trying to compensate for what you feel you lack elsewhere in your life. But don't muddle up love and money since it could come very expensive. It will be tough going at points with decisions to be made about home and family matters. Friends will be around to keep you straight if you get too intense or obsessed with trivia. They'll insist you keep looking ahead optimistically which won't be a problem. The 11th will be a dynamically energetic day. The 14th will pose a few surprises, and the 15th will be a social highlight. Your obvious enthusiasm and charm will make the 17th go with a swing. Overview 

The good news for 2009 is that you'll be socially self confident, outgoing and feeling popular at work and out on the party scene. Your positive approach will make all the difference. There will be changes at home, a sense of leaving the past behind, not quickly, but in gradual stages. You may find certain people want you to stay as you are but you'll be determined to make adjustments to your key relationships. Constant changes at work will keep you alert and from mid year you'll be aiming higher. Late in the year you start a new cycle in your life.

Romance 

In a mood for more fun and frivolity you'll be out and about with increasing enthusiasm, accepting invitations left, right and centre. Not only will Jupiter bring you favourable comments wherever you go it will boost your chances of romance. What's better it stays all year. The Aquarius Eclipse early on hints that taking the initiative and insisting you get more attention and a vibrant social life is important. OK there may be certain points where you'll idealise certain loved ones, expect miracles of them and then get disappointed. So you'll need to be sensible and realistic. Happily Venus in Aries will also be around from February to June which will bring affection from one special partner and even more social high spots. You'll be charming your way around everyone you meet. Just don't let your family situation distract you from having fun. There will be those close who have different ideas about your newly found confidence so you may end up with tensions at home at times. A more serious phase begins from late October so you'll be more focussed on practical matters but don't be too defensive. You can work and play.

Money 

With so many changes happening around you there's a need to be firm with yourself and not take any gambles. Jupiter is good for confidence but it could tempt you to take chances especially where speculation or taking risks with cash are concerned. Especially with Neptune close at hand you could end up assuming schemes are sure fire bets and then discover to your cost they are nothing of the sort. If you can be practical, more cautious than you'll feel at times, it'll be safer and protect your security. Through April and May you'll be tackling joint finances, trying to sort out better agreements and pushing hard to defend your corner. By late June you'll start to see rewards roll in for your efforts. But you'll need to stay vigilant. By October you'll see good results though times will be tough and there will be a few let downs. Luckily by that point you'll be much more sensible and grounded, knowing that you have to cut out frivolities and focus on essentials.

Work 

Nothing will stay constant for long at work so you'll need to stay ahead of the game, keeping up with new techniques and the latest thinking. Your own original ideas will be the ones to follow through so don't let anyone tell you that you're on the wrong track. Your bold approach will bring responses from the right people. This is the time to promote yourself as flamboyantly as you please. Push self doubt firmly to one side. For the first ten months you'll continue clearing the decks of old ambitions which have lost their fire and projects which no longer work. At times you may feel you are pushing against the grain having to keep up the pressure when your enthusiasm has waned slightly. But you'll sense that a turning point is coming. March and April will be a slog. But by July you'll know that this is your time to make your break and be a mover and a shaker. Aim high and be brave. From November you'll be into a new phase where you leave the past behind and move on.

Health 

With Uranus around all year bouncing off Saturn you will be stressed and strained at points, so you need to be rigorous about scheduling in rest and relaxation periods. Your highly strung nervous system needs balance and serenity more than most. Try out new remedies and approaches to fitness but avoid anything too way-out. February to April will be times to keep a special eye on your schedule. Sometimes you have to say enough is enough. If you keep hashing and crashing on too relentlessly you'll sag. Luckily your morale will lift your physical energy by mid year. Though August could be a stretching month with demands coming at you from all quarters. In September make a strenuous effort to take it easily for a few weeks since this should be your break. As Saturn moves into your own sign from late October there'll be less tensions. Though you'll need to balance work with fun in the time ahead for best results.
