I wouldn''t worry about poor George Bush limping off into the sunset. I regret to say he''s looking remarkably chirpy as he heads for the exit door. At the moment and through till January 09 his Secondary progressed Mars is conjunct his Jupiter which is good for morale and exuberance. Plus his Solar Arc Jupiter is sextile Jupiter come Jan 09. His Secondary progressed Sun is also sextile his Sun, almost exact at the Inauguration.
On transits he''s fairly bad tempered or perhaps Laura or mum Barbara are edgy (Pluto square Moon/Mars) but he also remarkably gung ho (Pluto square Mars/Jupiter) at the moment till late Oct 08. Into December he''s positively oozing good humour, feeling successful and contemplating his finances taking a turn for the better.
Jupiter has always been there for him even when he deserved it least. The two Bush Administration charts do look very jangled around the Election: In the 2005 Admin the 8th house Mars (18 Sag) conjunct Pluto (23 Sag) is being severely rattled over the Election by the transitting Saturn Uranus opposition. And the 2001 Admin chart similarly has Saturn opp Uranus hitting the 8th house Moon (19 Sag) conjunct Pluto (14 Sag). That might hint at a Republican loss but GWB looks suspiciously cheerful. Maybe he doesn''t care though I''d assume his finances are tied up in a Republican win which will continue on business contracts etc.
Though if there is a Republican win the rest of the world is going to divorce the USA.
ASTRO HEADLINES:
PRESENT INFLUENCES: Input: December 27 2007 Saturn continues its downward trajectory on GWB’s chart, to put him at his lowest ebb career-wise in the 29 year cycle until late 2009. Saturn now in his 2nd house can be a sign of shortage of money, or lack of success, or a time when unresolved psychological issues surface. It is conjunct Mars there in August 2008 which is accident prone or just hugely irritable as he hits yet another setback. Neptune in 2008 transitting his 7th opposes his 1st house Venus in late January to mid February and from mid September to mid December 08 making him feel disappointed about his lack of popularity, both personally and professionally. It will be difficult to maintain partnership agreements at this time. Uranus also squares Uranus mid March to mid April and effectively from October across to the inauguration of the new President in January 2009 which is a sign that his life is in upheaval. His Secondary Progressed Moon is about to move into his 6th house for two years from early 2008 which can bring a couple of years ahead with some health issues.
What is slightly anxiety-provoking is that he also has some rather gung ho, upbeat influences early in 2008 with his Secondary Progressed Mars now less than a half a degree from the conjunction to his Jupiter which could send him into a reckless adventure thinking he can’t lose. Pluto is also trine Sun/Jupiter late January to early March and again late April to mid June 08 which brings an upsurge of confidence and could hint at a last push to put his stamp on his time in the White House.
Whatever he has in mind it’s clearly causing some conflict within his close family and with certain colleagues. His relationship with his mother is heavily stressed through December 07 right through till late 2008, as is his relationship with his wife. This may be internal family matters. But he’s also having a roller coaster ride with Dick Cheney and especially with Condi Rice. He and Cheney seem particularly frustrated together or edgy with each other through December 07 and there’ll be a clash of opinion or an unsettling jolt in February with confusion following. This could be due a setback in Cheney’s health since he has a stressful Uranus Mars conjunction then which is tricky given his existing cardiac condition.
GWB also seems to be having a bumpy ride with Condi Rice since Uranus opposes the composite Sun Saturn conjunction from February through till late March which hints either at a parting of the ways or facing an extraordinarily difficult situation together with divergent views on how to tackle it. The Bush Administration chart is insecure in January 08, overly excitable in February and thoroughly de-stabilised by March. The March shock is Uranus square the 8th house Moon (conjunct Pluto) so could involve finances. Or it could be secrets coming out in the open of underhand government dealings – both Bush Admin charts have Pluto in the 8th which is hardly above board. From late April through till late June there will be panic, confusion and depression surrounding the Administration as Neptune squares Saturn. At this time on GWB’s personal chart there are indications of a major calamity which is right across the transit of Uranus to Mars on the USA chart so the country is on high alert, very insecure, fairly explosive or facing major disruptions and he will not handle the situation well.
GWB’s relationships with other European world leaders will not continue the much publicised rapport. GWB is finding Gordon Brown, the UK PM very tough going in December; is thoroughly jangled with him from mid Dec to mid Jan 08; is facing a chasm in mid to late January 08; and is waging a battle of wills of one-upmanship from March through April. From late April to late May there’ll be another upheaval at a time when the USA chart is highly volatile. Sarkozy will definitely have lost his shine from late April onwards with distinct signs of panic on both sides. Even Angela Merkel, his cosiest EU relationship, is shifting around uneasily having to adapt to changing circumstances with both sides playing for the upper hand.
The American public are worrying more than usual, feeling distinctly undermined, about their President from late December 07 to late January and again mid June to late July.
BUSH's ASTROCARTOGRAPHY
George Bush's astrocartography suggests that areas of special significance for him include Iraq & Saudi Arabia through which his Pluto MC line runs - a real danger point - and that line extends north to Moscow. The Pluto Midheaven line tends to bring up megalomaniac tendencies, with power struggles likely. It is an area where exerting one's will is very difficult.
[John F. Kennedy was assassinated on his Pluto Mid Heaven line through Dallas, though he had a very different chart to Bush, one in which sudden violent death might have been expected. But Bush may be wary on another score, since was elected like JFK under a Jupiter Saturn conjunction in 2000. Every US president in the past 200 years - bar two - elected under a Jupiter Saturn conjunction, was subject to an assassination attempt (some successful); or had to retire through ill health from the White House.]
Bush's Mars MC line also runs through Eastern Russia bordering on China. This Mars line runs directly down through Pakistan and Afghanistan.(All US Presidents who went to war had one of their Mars lines through the war zone.) At home, George Bush is comfortable living in Washington, DC; at his most confident through Houston, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Denver; and at his edgiest from Las Vegas to Los Angeles and the west coast.

A curiously hidden personality for a politician , George W. Bush is a loner and a free spirit at heart and does not see himself as a leader of men or having executive skills for organisation. He prefers to stay behind the scenes, and will become overwhelmed if surrounded constantly by people and too much of the spotlight. A well aspected Mars in Virgo, his only earth planet, suggests his talents are focussed towards making money. Though with a Sun square to Jupiter, Moon and Neptune, he will tend to expect overnight miracles and have little patience for slow, solid growth.
His flamboyant Leo ascendant is damped down by controlling Pluto close by, often the effect of a difficult birth, which gives him a rather bland appearance, which few penetrate behind to know his real feelings. He is more fearful and distrustful than is obvious. When necessary he can be utterly charming, sparkling company and gives the appearance of being amiably laid back. But the sugary sweetness is often just a façade for someone fond of his own company and in need of regular retreats. He does have a temper with Mars squaring Uranus which can flare up sporadically if he feels interfered with or handed advice which he does not wish to take. Team relationships will be tricky for him since he dislikes commitment and lacks a sense of direction.

Bush’s oddly low key response to the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, are mirrored in his astrology, as if he did not totally absorb the magnitude of what had happened. Uranus opposed Venus on his chart September 7 to October 15, and repeated mid November to late December, certainly hinting at emotional upsets in the wake of the catastrophe. But nothing that signified a deep appreciation of the dramatic shock suffered by the country he leads.
