Saturn in Cancer suggests a childhood in which there was less warmth than she might have wished. Close to her Moon’s North Node, it also gives her the ability to hook into the zietgeist as a serious woman, one for whom the traditional supports are not available. This is perhaps why she has been such a success playing a woman in a man’s world, most obviously as a senior police inspector in the successful and gritty TV drama series Prime Suspect, as well starring as the two great Queens Elizabeth. Despite her very feminine appearance at Film Awards, it will have taken her a good many years to find her own inner femininity.
Jupiter in Virgo gives her an enthusiasm for her work, the ability to adapt, and a tendency to take on too much since she’ll insist on seeing to all the details herself. Jupiter squaring onto Venus and Uranus in Gemini allows her to turn on the charm socially when necessary and to be a party animal, although her emotional moods will be fickle, so she’ll switch off the bonhomie very quickly when she’s become bored. A varied schedule with constant travel to exciting places suits her Jupiter Uranus, and with Mars in trine to Neptune, she revels in the pzazz and glamour of the showbusiness life.
Without a birth time it’s difficult to be sure but her Moon is probably in Aquarius giving her a friendly, slightly impersonal approach, with a liking to be outrageous at times to shock others as an amusement.
Present Influences: Input October 06: With Pluto on its final square to Jupiter until early November 06 she’s on a confident roll, with more awards coming her way. 2007 and 2008 also look for positive for success, money and enthusiasm. Though with Uranus coming up to the Uranus square from late March 07 she’s in a rebellious mood, wanting away from old routines and aiming for a different lifestyle. Her restlessness and need to find a new direction may prompt her to act hastily. Luckily Uranus also trines Saturn at the same time so she’s more likely to find a way of merging new plans with what’s working well and not throw everything up in the air.
Her secondary progressed Sun is heading for Neptune over the next couple of years, which can bring low motivation and discontentment with an overly materialistic lifestyle. But since Jupiter is close by progression to Neptune it may be that she directs some of her formidable energy towards charitable causes. Jupiter Neptune is spiritual, compassionate and wants to help the disadvantaged. Later in 2007, Saturn squares Mars in September and again through till mid 2008, which is irritable, slightly accident prone and can be frustrating. 2008 and 2009 find Uranus square her Venus and opposing her Jupiter, so she’ll be on the move, finding excitement socially, with sudden travel and a sense that luck is on her side. She’ll need to watch reckless decisions.
