In the News / Celebrity Astrology Daniel Craig - May 08 2 March 1968 Chester, England. Time unknown.
James Bond Jinx From: Marjorie. (07 May 2008 16:09): The shooting of the New James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, has been hit by a series of mishaps and near fatal crashes involving stuntmen leading to rumours of it being jinxed. Filming started on January 3rd this year when the Mars Pluto opposition was exact so it is no surprise there have been brushes with extreme danger. There may be more to come since transitting Pluto has still to return for two final hits from mid June to late July, and late October to late November this year. Nonetheless it will go on to bring in considerable quantities of money since Pluto then conjuncts Jupiter from March 2009 for eighteen months thereafter. Given the film business is notoriously superstitious they might have got round to asking an astrologer for an auspicious start date and saved themselves a good deal of aggravation. Daniel Craig is the latest and most successful of the James Bond actors (apart from Sean Connery) with the recent Casino Royale remake being the highest grossing Bond ever and launched to glowing critical acclaim. He is having an unsettling year with Uranus opposing his Pluto, which is also risky at times with Pluto opposing his Mars/Pluto midpoint but for all that he's also got a phenomenally successful Pluto trine Jupiter which brings in success and money through 2008. He has reportedly signed a 13 million GBP deal for the next two Bond films. He's an exceptionally talented, creative Pisces with an emphasised Neptune (ruling the film business) squaring a flamboyant Jupiter in Leo. Not always practical, he's custom built to project a dream image. He's also got a hard-edged, self reliant Mars Saturn conjunction in Aries so he's custom built for tough, violent roles - with a heart. His Moon is also in Aries so he's restless at times hot tempered, impatient and outspoken. Into 2010 he hits his mid life crisis with Uranus opposing Uranus so may get rebellious and want to alter his lifestyle or his career choices to some degree. He'll hit a roadblock of sorts come 2013 to 2015 with Pluto squaring his Mars Saturn which transitting Uranus is conjunct. It will be accident prone but since Pluto sextiles his Sun which is usually in control at the same time he may just be exceptionally over stretched. Input Nov 06: The newest, perhaps best James Bond ever, certainly since Sean Connery, he has a Pisces Sun as befits a movie icon, since Pisces’ ruler Neptune rules the world of film, creativity and illusion. His Sun is opposed by the tumultuous, rebellious Uranus Pluto conjunction so he’s all action in life as well as in character. He’ll be changeable, veering from posssessive and controlling one moment and then wanting freedom the next. He wants to be leading edge, pushing back the boundaries, always unsettling the status quo. What caught my attention when he was given the role, against much public disquiet was his hard edged Mars Saturn conjunction in Aries, close to his Moon and Moon’s North Node, suggesting he was exactly the right choice. Mars Saturn has a ruthless streak especially in aggressive Aries, which would give him the heavyweight clout which hasn’t been seen in the Bond movies since Connery left. It suggests tightly controlled anger, immense self reliance, a love of danger and risk, and a core of solid steel. It doesn’t describe a happy childhood since he would not have felt his needs were being addressed but it has left him with the right characteristics for the role. Venus in friendly, detached Aquarius sextile Mars Saturn also describes a cool sophistication (Venus Saturn) alongside a hint of passion (Venus Mars), and a tendency not to want to be stuck in one possessive relationship. Mercury in Aquarius gives him a sharp bright inquiring mind though he can also be amazingly vague as well since it squares Neptune. In opposition to Jupiter in Leo he can exaggerate or get carried away on enthusiasm. Both square onto Neptune which again suggests a love for and a talent in the creative arts and a capacity for immersing himself in a world of make believe. In childhood he would have retreated into his inner world of dreams to mask his deep sense of loneliness and in adult life may continue to do so. Acting which helps him dramatize his emotions is a useful therapy for him. He has a great deal of compassion from an emphasised Neptune, especially square Jupiter and will want to contribute to charitable causes. His Moon’s North Node in Aries taken at a simple level of what resonates with the zeitgeist, or what catches the mood of the public consciousness, certainly suits the all-action super-hero. Daniel Craig’s North Node is boosted by close contact with his fiery Moon, Mars and resolute Saturn and a trine to lucky Jupiter. Sean Connery also has an Aries North Node close to Uranus square Jupiter Pluto in opposition to Venus, in an out-of-sign trine to his Sun Neptune conjunction, and sextile Mars. So both bring a different though power-packed perspective to the role. Connery portrayed a law-unto-himself seductive charmer (Jup Pl Venus), who was capable of being cruel (Mars Sat), turning the world upside down and surviving in chaos (Ur Pluto). Craig brings more emotional volatility to the role since his Moon in Aries is tied into the Node, but also even more of the cold state killer punch with a dash of Jup in Leo flamboyance to finish off the melange. Neither Pierce Brosnan or Roger Moore had the sharp focus of these kinds of aspects. Brosnan certainly has a dominant Taurus Sun on the point of a T square to a fixed sign Moon Pluto opposition giving him a hint of the Tony Blair control-freakery and a savagely determined Mars in Scorpio on his mid heaven. But he never quite exuded the risk factor of Connery and Craig. Roger Moore, less of a pussycat than he appears with a power hungry Sun Mars square Pluto, still managed to look more the suave Libran than a state assassin. PRESENT INFLUENCES: Nov 06 Daniel Craig looks all set for a highly successful run of mega movie successes. Uranus is fittingly on the final conjunction to his Pisces Sun in December 06 over the launch which looks like propelling him to global stardom. Uranus can be unsettling but it also shines light on what has not been seen before. Uranus was also aspecting his Jupiter/Pluto midpoint for the premiere in November 06 which brings a sudden change in financial circumstances for the better and positive changes. Pluto is heading for the trine to his Jupiter in 2008 which always brings success, confidence and the chance for large cash in-flow. However his life is going to get turned upside down as was Connery’s with the first Bond success. Craig has Pluto square Uranus from late December 06 through all of 2007 so it will radically change his lifestyle, not without some strain. December 06 may be impatient, frustrating, progress with huge effort. January will be emotional, sociable, romantic, though also jolting. February will be upbeat, adventurous, exciting. There will be a minor setback in August 2007 as Saturn squares Neptune, always a confusing, undermining influence and conjuncts his Jupiter which tends to damp enthusiasm and curb spending. Then from late December 07 Pluto picks up Jupiter for a year ahead to bring him a major boost in reputation, confidence and bank balance. 2008 also sees Uranus opposing Pluto which will jolt his life again, bringing even more major changes, making him rebellious.
